Before Christ, what was your world-world view?
My Worldview did involve a belief in a God, simply because the creation itself and the explicit detail that had gone into it testified to me that there was a creator.
When did you first hear the Gospel? How did you feel about it?
I grew up in a Christian household and attended an Anglican church. However, my understanding of the Christian God was still very shallow. It wasn't until the Gospel was shared with me via people speaking to me on the street that I found out that you can actually know GOD for yourself through His Son. This was when I (albeit,for the first time,) understood the Gospel despite growing up in church. This was eye opening to me and an alternative to the previous understanding of GOD being far far away in the cosmos and us being unable to intimately fellowship with Him.
What was your biggest question before you became Christian?
“Can you actually know GOD on a personal level and not from a distance?”
What was the turning point in your attitude? When did it all change?
Everything for me changed when I made a decision to dedicate my life to Jesus Christ. It's hard to explain, but my life just took a different turn and things were no longer the same. I was beginning to become a better person in addition to life itself, changing.
What changes did you see in your life, actions, attitudes, problems (use specific examples).
I noticed a change in my character after giving me life to Jesus. My issue of timidity was going and I was becoming a lot more bold. My relationship with family members began to improve as I found myself becoming more humble. Lifelong anxiety issues were beginning to disappear and all in all, I was becoming a more joyful person even in the midst of trials here and there. My attitude to life was changing.
How long did it take before you noticed changes (be honest and realistic)?
Around 5 months after dedicating my life to Jesus.
Where are you now?
I'm in a place now where I'm trying to increase my faith even more and trying to seek to know GOD more.
What is your favourite bible verse and why?
1 John 5:4-5 KJVS
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:4-5 is my favourite verse because it always reminds me that although human-kind has battles to fight daily; because I have been recreated from the inside (born of GOD) through my acceptance and belief of the person of CHRIST JESUS: that he is the son of GOD, this makes me an overcomer as when you have faith (matched by corresponding action to that which one believes) in the GOD of the impossible, then you are warrior in this present wicked age and therefore, you are able to endure many things and still smile.
Advice to a non-Christian:
My advice to a Non-Christian who is skeptical would be that faith is not without evidence and that you should look into the historical and archaeological evidence for the validity of JESUS Christ and the Bible; as the best person to help you understand GOD.. is GOD Himself.
Why not take a leap of faith and ask Him. Say something along the lines of “Lord, I’m not sure if you are real, then show me through your Word. Amen"
Besides, what do you have to lose?
