Before Christ, what was your world-world view?
I always believed in God, I could never deny that He existed, having a look into the sky was enough to say there has to be a God, let alone the trees, DNA and reproduction there just had to be. However, I knew I didn't want to know about God or search him, I wanted my own way!
When did you first hear the Gospel? How did you feel about it?
I heard the gospel first when I was around 15/16 years old, I heard it in a YouTube video. The gospel made me feel the need to cry out to God for the forgiveness of all my sins.
What was your biggest question before you became Christian?
Before I became a Christian what was always in my mind was, when I die where will I go heaven or hell.
What was the turning point in your attitude? When did it all change?
The turning point was when I heard the gospel in a YouTube video. I was bound in my sin, deep in pornography and couldn't break it, one day I found myself watching this young man no more than 23 years old and he gave a testimony on how God saved him and how God stopped his pornography addiction. Why I clicked that video I don't know, but he said something that has changed my life forever, he said
God revealed to him if he continues in pornography he will go to hell. Now I knew that to a certain level, but when he said it, the words went into me like never before. All of a sudden fear came into me, I didn't want to go hell, I remember telling God I don't want to go hell forgive me and all of a sudden, for a few days I got hit with the heavy conviction of all my sins (pornography, lying, stealing, being angry and fighting etc) and one day as I was pleading with God I felt the burden leave my shoulders and I was forgiven and I knew it. I felt new as if I was a new person. It was amazing!
What changes did you see in your life, actions, attitudes, problems?
I now had the fear of God in me which is great. I also became kind-hearted, loving, and caring. I saw that I desired to read the bible every day for hours on end and I longed to speak with God and just spend time with Him. These were radical changes in my life.
How long did it take before you noticed changes?
The changes in my life happened immediately. It was radical, I loved righteousness and hated wickedness. God ended the pornography addiction like that and my eyes were now instantly desiring holiness rather than evil. I'm not perfect but I desired holiness.
Where are you now?
I am going from glory to glory. I want to know The Father more I have not attained but I desire to press on everyday to be more for Christ and to give my life to Him as a living sacrifice. Everyday is new I just desire to seek Him everyday and draw closer to Him and know Him more.
What is your favourite bible verse and why?
I have many ones of which is 1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has life; He who does not have the Son of God does not have life. This verse says it all if you have Jesus Christ you have life until then friend you don't have life.
Advice to a non-Christian:
Jesus Christ is real. Call to Him, when you do this in truth (out of a humble heart and being really real) He will reveal Himself to you and you will see you're a sinner. When you realise this repent (say sorry to God) and trust in Jesus Christ friend.
